The celebrated poets William Pitt Root (Pushcart Prize Winner and former Tucson Poet Laureate) and Pamela Uschuk (Editor, Cutthroat Journal of the Arts) will lead a poetry workshop in the days leading up to Rancho Linda Vista's 50th Anniversary celebrations, on Memorial Day weekend.
This inspirational mixed genre, hands-on, generative writing intensive focuses on weaving poetry and lyric prose to create memoir. The class meets for 4 hours daily for 5 days and will include a book list, poetry and memoir techniques, model pieces of writing, writing prompts, time to write, revision techniques, as well as critical feedback.
